Entura appoints Business Development Manager, Water

Specialist power and water consulting firm Entura has appointed Alan Barrett to the role of Business Development Manager, Water.
Based in Darwin, Northern Territory, Mr Barrett will focus on partnering with clients in the water sector in mainland Australia.
“Alan thrives in establishing true partnerships based on mutual understanding, backed by the technical depth of Entura,” said Entura’s Customer Strategy and Market Development Director, Dale Bryce.
“He has made a great contribution to the development of key client relationships in the Northern Territory over the past 18 months, and I’m confident that he’ll build on his success in this new role.”
Mr Barrett has been with Entura since 2005 as a senior consultant working with clients on a range of water infrastructure projects, including water supply, irrigation, dams, pipelines and hydropower. He has more than 25 years’ experience working in the fields of agriculture, irrigation and water management, and environmental management.
“I am looking forward to partnering with new and existing clients across Australia to deliver solutions across the whole lifecycle of water assets, help them manage risks and achieve valuable outcomes,” said Mr Barrett.
As part of Hydro Tasmania, Australia’s largest water manager, Entura is backed by more than 100 years of planning, building, managing and maintaining water assets.
The firm works with customers across the Asia-Pacific region and Africa to help them improve the safety and performance of their dams, irrigation schemes, pipelines and pumping stations and to deliver innovative data monitoring, management and analysis solutions.
